Rating: - boring old fashioned vegan food
this is the kind of food that gives veganism a bad name. i had this book for several years and have eventually given it to a charity shop because it was just gathering dust. there are so many better vegan cook books out there - i.e. vegan feasts, the new vegan, the voluptous vegan. please try these first!
Rating: - Excellent, no nonsense recipes
The latest edition of a book I've been using for over a quarter-century - updated to remove such long-forgotton products as "Jumbo Grills" and "Marigold Vegetarian Meat"!
An unpretentious book of traditional British fare given the vegan twist - simple, inexpensive but delicious and filling recipes made from easy to obtain ingredients, coupled with a helpful introduction to vegan nutrition.
Everything from salads to stodgy hot sweets (the raisin pud is a particular joy) via roasts, cakes, stews, curries, baking and much more. Probably the most useful cookbook on my shelf.

A fully updated version of her earlier recipe book. Loads of delicious recipes, which are made with a minimum of ingredients and very easy to follow recipes.
A brilliant introduction to vegan cooking, incorporating lots of equivalents to favourite meat and dairy recipes. Lots of desserts and cakes included, as well as savoury dishes, sauces and soups.
