Rating: - Forget kids, by it for yourself
This is one of the most gorgeous picture books I've ever come across. It's funny, easy to read and just lovely.
Rating: - Never mind for infants...!!!
Never mind giving this book to children! I love it, it makes me smile every time I read it. I bought it for a friend who loves it too and it seems to be very popular because the shops never have it in for me to buy myself a copy (hurrah for amazon!!). delightful, charming, perfect.
Rating: - utterly charming
I read this to my children in an Australian accent, and they roll around laughing. I think they are partly laughing at how bad my accent is, but the book is endearing and very funny with the most appealing illustrations. It's wonderfully simple and a delight to all my children aged 2,4 6 and 8.
They also love Josephine Loves to Dance by the same author and illustrator, but it doesn't have the same magical simplicity.
There is one problem, they now all want a wombat for a pet, and having read the story, I KNOW that we don't!
Rating: - Utterly adorable!
No other way of describing it, absolutely adorable. The illustrations of the wombat are unbelievably cute, a book you can read endlessly and enjoy it more every time., Will never fail to bring a smile to your face and make you melt inside. A wombat with an attitude she may be, but also engaging, endearing and an absolute gem.
Rating: - Wonderful book, priceless illustrations!
I found this book by chance and was overwhelmed with how cute the wombat is. This is one of those books that parents won't mind reading to their children over and over again because it is simply adorable and comic at the same time. The diary format makes this the Bridget Jones of the wombat world!
