Editorial Review: Amazon.co.uk Review: Buffy has been a TV and publishing phenomenon with countless official and not so official books appearing to cash in the hippest TV series for years. For those who don't know, Buffy Summers is a 16-year-old Californian girl who has been chosen for the awful task of slaying the undead with an array of weapons, a few handy martial arts moves and a killer dress sense. Not only does she have to cope with the armies of vampires that have set up camp in her home town of Sunnydale but there is also the small problem of being a teenager to get to grips with too. The Sunnydale High School Yearbook is a nice, fun addition to the Buffy universe, presenting lots of in joke material in the form of Buffy's High School Yearbook, complete with little handwritten notes from her best friends and lots of reminders about people, places and events that have been part of her vampire-slaying high school years. For newcomers to the show, a lot of the material is simply too ingrained in backstory to make much sense, but for those devoted to all things Buffy, it will make a great addition to their bookshelf. The photos are great and authors Golden and Holder have put so much enthusiasm and care into the book that you can't help but devour it.  Rating:  - disappointingi thought that most of this book was quite boring. i'm a big buffy fan and i bought it because of its good reviews but i have to say i was very disappointed. making a sunnydale high yearbook was a good idea but it was done badly. it was almost all in black and white. i gave it two stars instead of one because it did have some amusing parts (for example, cordy's poem) but unfortunatly there weren't very many. Rating:  - FANGTASTICA fantastic book which ties in perfectly with season three of this fantastic series. Quirky items and glossy pictures add to the well designed format of the book making a great read and a real must have for all die hard Buffy fans. Check out the student quotes for some inspiring sayings such as,"You only live once but if you do it right once is enough!" And i honestly believe the creators of this book got it right first time!!!!!!! Rating: - We need Year-books in the UkI love the layout of this book. I read the book before I saw series 3. Buffy and Angel really need each other and it shows in this book. The author's really pullled the stops out on this book. Rating: - Always useful if you can't remember the name of someoneNot only is this book interesting, exciting and tells you everything you need to know, but it's useful as well. If you can't remember someone's name, or what exactly hapenned, then you can look it up. You can just scan through it and look at the amazing pictures some of which I'd never seen before, and also read it in depth as I have hundred times. A must buy for anyone who reads Buffy. Rating:  - Excellent!I first thought this book would be a waste of money but as soon as i bought it and read it i thought it was really cool. I like the way it is set out like a real yearbook with friends signing the book at the front and the back. This book is really cool and i recommend it to all my mates. |
