 Rating:  - Great Kids CakesA lovely book from Lindy Smith who is very similar in style to Debbie Brown. Nice designs, a good source of inspiration for beginners and professionals. Rating:  - Not for the noviceI love all of Lindy Smith's books, her work is absolutely faboulous... But, there is a but: thisbook, as all of her others, has designs which require a lot of expensive tools (which she sells on her website, of course...), that make it expensive altough the cakes are obviously unique. For this reason I managed to make only a couple of them. Recommend it if you have already experience with sugarpaste cake decorating. Rating: - Good inspirationThis book is quite similar to Debbie Browns ideas. The Noah's Ark cake is a challenge but one worth making. Lots of ideas and techniques shared. Clearly laid out, easy to follow, excellent photography. Will inspire you to create your own designs as many skills are covered. |
