This book has allowed me to pass on Steven's knowledge and enthusiasm to my customers. Not so many British cheeses, but a great reference to the most popular cheeses in the world, from many different countries. I still find myself refering to it even today. This inthusiasm is contagious.Every page of this book shouts the author's enthusiasm for his subject. Wonderfully opinionated, his descriptions are so evocative, you can almost taste the cheeses as you read about them. One amusing point is where he evangelises about his latest discovery: serving chutneys and pickles with cheese. An American discovers the ploughman's lunch! |
