 Rating:  - Big disappointmentI was VERY disappointed with this bookLET...not only diminutive in size, but in scope. Very sparse on hard information, it would be a suitable small gift for someone appreciative of thoughtful gestures. But for a serious gardener, it is scarcely worth looking at. The cultural information it contains can be gleaned from a paragraph or two in virtually any gardening reference volume. I am even less satisfied to have paid a higher postage rate for delivery to my French address, money which could have gone towards the purchase of a larger book containing solid information- not jokey writing and line drawings- at the same delivery cost. NOT recommended to serious gardeners! Rating:  - Nutshell Guide to Growing FigsThis is one of the five books that make up the Nutshell Guide series. It may be deminutive in size but is not lacking in good, solid cultural information. The book is punctuated by light hearted cartoon drawings which add to the feel of the series.
