 Rating: - Really brilliant!This book was really good! It is about a man who helps Jewish children across the mountains to a place where they are safe during WW2 whilst waiting for his own daughter, Anya. The story did get a little bit confusing in places, though. Rating: - a thrilling and moving story of courage in World War TwoI really enjoyed this exciting and moving book about a boy who becomes involved with the French resistance and helps young Jewish children escape over the mountains to Spain. It is a story of courage, friendship and strength and has a sad and happy ending. It is a story to remember and read time and time again. Rating: - I've read it in class and it is one of the best books everThis is one of the best books ever I must say. The story takes place in the second world war,in a little village of France. Jo meats a mesterious man in the forest and then at widow Horcada's farm. He helps children get over the boarder in Spain. Who is Anya? And why is Benjamin waiting for her???? I'd have thought the book boaring but no ... |
