An interesting mix of recipes, but I found them a bit over-reliant on cheese and somewhat expensive ingredients. That said, the ones I tried did taste very nice. Not a book for those watching the pennies!

CBB's recipes are quick and easy to follow. Moreover, the food is delicious - you'll want to eat these dishes even if you aren't vegetarian or on a low-carb diet. If you are, you'll be pleased to know that they work; I'm enjoying food more than before and losing weight. This is the best cookery book I've ever bought.
Rating: - no weird ingredients and it all tastes good!
I bought this as well as a couple of other low carb books a couple of weeks ago. The recipes in this particular book have really lifted my spirits for two main reasons. Firstly it uses foodstuffs which you can mainly find in your store cupboard at best, or in high street healthfood stores at worst and secondly because they make food which tastes good as opposed to worthy! I have yet to find a recipe involving wheat protein powder and the like!
There is a good balance of interesting and healthy food - each recipe allowing you to balance carbs, protein, calories and fat throughout your day. All the recipes I've cooked so far have been delicious - and enjoyed by me and others who have not necessarily known they were eating low carb.

I highly recommend this book, the recipes are imaginative, easy to follow and very tasty. It is excellent to find a low carb recipe book that is also healthy and not full of high fat and high meat content as a lot of low carb recipe books are. Well done Celia Brooks Brown.
