It continually amazes me how some relationships work, particularly with the complicated structure of a lot of families prevalent nowadays.
Imagine a woman trying to run a totalitarian state, within the four walls of her house in Belgium; she's living with a twit, has several children, is in an almost constant haze of confusion [partly brought on by cheap wine], refuses to conform to most of the traditional roles, yet still wants to retain control - a familiar scenario to a lot of peabrains.
The 'twit' in question is a Cumbrian lad whose patience and resilience to Zoe's onslaughts can only be admired by another peabrain like myself. His reactions and ripostes to the torrents of abuse and displeasure formed the basis of a blog, which ... Read More:
Rating: - The Ultimate Guide To All Things Tw*t!
I have dated a lot of men in my life. And most of them have been tw*ts. After each break up, I always promised myself that I would not date that kind of man again, that I would not fall under the spell of the Tw*t.
The only problem was that I didn't know how to recognize one. I had no idea that Tw*ts come in all kinds of different shapes and sizes, that there is no real way of preparing yourself, of arming yourself against a Tw*t.
That is, until now.
Zoe McCarthy, author of the award winning blog My Boyfriend is a Tw*t, has compiled a book of the same name which is subtitled: A Guide to Recognising, Dealing, and Living with an Utter Tw*t.
Finally! A book for all of us who have dated Tw*ts, ... Read More:
Rating: - A stocking-filler for the single girl
I found myself nodding with sad recognition at Zoe's account of the Tw@'s behaviour. Truly, all men are the same, aren't they? The Tw@'s tracksuit bottoms reminded me of my late husband Harold's beige cardigan, in fact the more I read of Zoe's magnum opus, the more I thought I too could write a book about my insignificant other. This is a book that will cheer up single women, reminding them of what they're not missing. I eagerly await a companion piece from Quarsan "My Girlfriend is a **** ".
Rating: - Very Funny
There are so many reasons why this book is so good; it's well written, the characters are great, it's highly amusing but the main reason is that it is all true. It contains so many funny stories about why Zoe has spent the last several years pulling her hair out over the actions of her boyfriend.
It is this love/irritated-by relationship that makes the book so enjoyable and means men and women will both get something different out of reading it.
Women will be able to read it and think, "My boyfriend does that," and men will be able to read it and think, "I do that."
I was laughing the whole time I was reading it. I can really recommend buying this book.
Rating: - Zoe and the Tw@T
I have been reading this book and I have to say that Zoe's trials and tribulations of daily life with her boyfriend are funny, erudite and downright hilarious.
It is the book of the award winning blog of the same name.
I have to say I haven't laughed this much since I was a kid, and went into complete giggles ending up with me almost having an asthmatic attack halfway through. You will end up with a grin on your face.
Even if you are happy with your life you need to buy this book as there are gems nearly on every page for your delight. A well presented and delightful trip through a relationship with a tw@t
