Edimax EW-7318USG Wireless USB LAN Adapter 4dBi Antenna, 802.11b.g 54Mbps
I have tried all week on and off the get this to work. Even with the router in the same room it fails to connect. When it does connect, all is fine but switch off and next time you boot up!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????
You set it up again and all is fine. I downloaded the latest driver. Same result. It works fine for 10 minutes but re-boot and nothing even with the router in the same room.
Rating: - What a wonderful product
Received this morning set up in 10 minutes which is very good for me as I am not very good at this kind of thing, more than impressed with it. It found my BT Home Hub with no problems. Small Price, Great Performace 98% Signal Strength.
Rating: - Very good value for money
I persevered with a Belkin Wireless network for 2-3 years and thought it was an occupational hazard that the signal varied, dropped, refused to connect (sometimes) and often slowed without reason.
You don't need to live with that kind of service and this product has given sterling service already for several months. The signal is always good or better the line/signal has dropped once in 8 weeks and I can't fault it.
In this day and age where we feel obliged to pay more rather than less in the belief we are getting a better, more reliable product, this bucks the trend.
Excellent value, breeze to set up, buy it!

I got one of these to link up my main PC to the net and the router is in the living room 2 rooms away. The signal strength varies from 50% - 90% but is generally at the higher end.
The only minor issue I have with it is it seems to keep asking for my security key over and over... I am trying it in different usb sockets, but you would think that I didn't have to keep entering the code every time I slotted it in.
Having said that I am impressed with the actual wireless function itself and realistically how often are you going to be taking it out and in...? it's almost as good as the my Dell Laptop internal.
Recommend.
Rating: - Sorry but this is awful.
As for plus points, it was easily set up with the software on the disk, and was working within a few minutes. I also get good signal strength.
However, the drivers for it are not built for Vista, and this seems to have been the start of no end of problems, It was cutting out, and producing slow internet for ages.. with me constantly installing and reinstalling the software to no effect. When I realised I should get the Vista driver from Edimax I did so, and now it works better, but still not well. It keeps cutting out, and on startup refuses to work unless it does all sorts of worrying installation processes. It also keeps renaming the connection.
Now maybe this is partly because of personal ignorance on my part or ... Read More:
