 Rating:  - Interference with sound goneI bought the filter to try to eliminate occasional popping sounds and picture interference on my old Freeview box. To be fair I also fitted a graphite core to the mains lead (so part of the improvement could be due to that) but the combination of the two actions has brought about a 99% improvement. Just very occasional interference now and when the sound is affected it is not at loud volumes. I've also the added peace of mind of surge protection. I can't confirm that the picture or sound are otherwise improved - both are normally very good - they may be, but it is tricky to do a before and after. Certainly not worse anyway! Rating: - Does what it says.Very good for the money. Don't waste anymore money than this to do the same job. Rating: - buy it tacima cs939 mains filter If you have got a real hifi (not from currys or a fridge seller)this filter makes such a difference in the quality of sound. tighter bass more defined treble and a purer mid range. you get as much difference in the sound like when you change interconnects or speaker cables. but if you have a stack system it wont make to much difference as you need the quality there to start with. Its cheaper on amazon than ebay so buy itTACIMA MAINS CONDITIONER 6 WAY WITH RF FILTER Rating:  - Sound Placebo with Surge ProtectionThis ugly black trailer socket will do what it says, a little mains filtering and surge protection. As for improving sound quality I'm a sceptic. It's only doing a little of what the transformers in your device will do anyway. Having had one of these (purchased as surge protection, from a famous electronic component supplier) I can't hear any difference at all. I wouldn't expect to. Still a bit of surge protection is good to have and worth £20 Build quality is just OK. Rather Light and plasticky. Flexes and twists alarmingly as you try to remove plugs from the tighter sockets. Rating: - Awesome value for moneyThis product works very well indeed. The quality of my LCD picture has improved, with less background haze, better skin tones, deeper blacks, richer reds, and the sound is also much more refined. All in all, this does exactly what it says on the tin, and for an almost give away price. You MUST get one of these for ALL your sound and vision components. |
