Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great

This is a fairly simple but extremely useful book and very much a worthwhile addition to your library.

There are lots of quick and easy recipes and they a lot more varied than you might think - because of that, there's pretty much something for just about every taste. It's just a pity there are no pictures, but even so, it is worth buying.

And at the price, it's a bargain - you can't really go wrong with this.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The first recipe book anyone should buy
I was given this book when I went to University many many years ago.
It's pretty much the only recipe book I have used consistently ever since.
Even now many years later with a wife and four children this is the book we turn to when cooking "normal" food.
This book has simple recipes that the whole family can enjoy. There are some more adventurous recipes if you are feeling inclined.
This book is a little gem and worth every single penny.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - My first cookery book
I was given this book as a housewarming present when I first moved out of my parents' house about 15 years ago. I think the person that gave it to me thought it was a bit of a joke, due to the title. However, this is a brilliant book for someone that needs to cook simple, tasty meals for one or two. The book is full of useful tips and the recipes are easy to follow. The spaghetti bolognaise is one recipe that I remember with much fondness. It was a firm favourite when friend or family came round.

A few years later I became vegetarian and subsequently purchased "No Meat for Me Please" by the same author, which is just as good for those of us that don't eat meat.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Understanding how to cook
Excellent - the first cookery book i have found that explains how to cook without assuming any prior knowledge or experience. Well written and easy to understand.

It gave me the confidence to try and learn to cook, rather than total reliance on processed and pre-packed foods, and I learned the taste of real food.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Quite a good little book but no pictures..
This is quite a good helpful little book but it would have been more helpful if it had pictures so you can see what the meals you are meant to prepare are meant to look like. It isn't quite as simple as it states but it is quite a helpful book.
