This book was not really what I was looking for!

The book could be good for tips, if like the other reviewer, you have MANY food allergies & intolerances and it does have some good information on dietary problems, not just recipes - but many of the ingredients are very difficult to find in the UK (and so expensive if found). QUINOA seems to be in absolutely every recipe. Also required frequently are Xantham or guar gum, coconut oil, canola oil, safflower oil and chickpea flour. Occasionally included are amaranth, kuzu,sorghum and teff.

If you can easily get these ingredients, want to try them and can afford them this is the book for you. You could probably work out some alternative ingredients - but, um, that is probably mostly just what you wanted the book to do for you!!

I was pleased to see that soya (being an allergen too) was avoided though - it never made sense to me that shop-bought foods for allergy/intolerance sufferers often substitutes milk & wheat products with another known allergen!! (- and soya is not grown here at all - farming it is responsible for rainforest destruction)

I bought this book in 2005 after getting allergy tested at york labs ( the best!)
Anyway,I was diagnosed with Chronic fatigue syndrome in 2004 and really needed to get well.
The book showed me I could eat great food with out missing out on the things others have. I have intollerances to so much stuff its un believeable.
Thi sbook tells you all about your intollerance and shows you recipes for every occasion they are easy to follow, you will never stop eating....lol
Anyway using the information in this book I am feeling fit and well, eating great have lost 4 stone todate (5months) and cant wait to do the run for life in July.
PS I havent walked properly for 2 yrs LOLOL
