I am delighted with this book. Started off with the walnut & raisin cakes - actually dates, almonds, walnuts, raisins. My husband loves them so I make double batches every few days, and it stops him eating choc bars! Cucumber soup for dinner guests was next - absolutely delicious, one I intend to make again and again. Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with the photos or the book itself. All looks fine to me. Thoroughly recommend it. Am looking forward to trying out some more recipes.

This is not the first raw food recipe book I've bought, but it is the first that's helpful enough to actually get me started. Last weekend I entertained friends for dinner twice, both times using recipes from this book. The chocolate mousse alone is worth the cover price!
European readers may wish to know that American weights & measures are used, but I haven't found this to be a problem.
I found the introduction and glossary very helpful as I'm just getting started with raw food, but I imagine this will be great for novices and old hands alike.

Although I've always eaten healthily, I have only recently been introduced to raw food. I went on a one-day course a few months ago - and haven't looked back! I am just amazed at the variety of dishes that can be made, and how good they can taste.
As I work full time, I wanted a straightforward and practical book with quick and easy recipes, using everyday ingredients, that would encourage me to include more raw food in my diet. This book is perfect! It is set out in a clear and logical manner, with easy-to-follow recipes and invaluable information on individual ingredients, equipment and utensils, and any necessary preparation. A juicer, blender or food processor are required for most recipes, although some require no special equipment. It is also of a handy size and has an attractive and inviting cover.
I have tried several recipes, all of which have only taken minutes to make, and have tasted delicious - and so healthy! I especially enjoyed the Energizing-Purifying Juice and Flourless Chocolate Cake with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. I never knew avocado could be used in place of butter, cream and eggs and taste so divine! I have attached a few photos.
I like this book so much that I bought a copy for two of my friends, who are also raw food beginners.
All in all, an ideal kitchen companion for anyone who wishes to create easy, tasty and healthy meals, and discover the benefits and delights of raw food.

This is an excellent book for the novice raw fooder or someone like me who wants to eat high raw with a family to feed. The best thing about this book and the way it is different from ALL the other raw food books is that it enables me to PLAN meals because the author notes how long the finished food will last. No other book does this. I know some people think you should make everything from scratch as and when needed, but this puts alot of people off. It is not practical with a family you are trying to feed healthily to not have anything in the fridge or cupboard that you can give them. You need to work in advance sometimes and that is possible with this book. I highly recommend it for this reason.

The author has a very down to earth approach. This book is full of raw recipes that actually taste really good, and are simple to make. They contain ingredients that are readily available to most people. Highly recommended.
