Joanne Stepaniak is an interesting, informative author, passionate about her subject, and a GREAT recipe writer! I am a new vegan and was sent her "UnCheese Cookbook" which is WONDERFUL! I decided to try "The Vegan Sourcebook" to get a bit of background on veganism. While there is an American bias, as that is where the statistics and information mostly comes from, it is none the less effective for that. The treatment of animals world-wide is horrific and makes me ashamed that I was part of it for so long. This book is an encouragement to me and a help. I am SO glad I bought it, and hope to eventually collect all of Ms. Stepaniak's other titles as well! >>More Details |
