I have read quite a few of these type of books and although they have all contributed to the way I am trying to raise my children this book has helped me the most. This is my first port of call when feeling stressed and out of control. I have now got rid of all the other books and just use The Pocket Parent - that's how good I think it is.
My children are now 5 and 3. The book has been really helpful to me for about the last year and a half - before then I wasn't able to implement the ideas and suggestions quite so easily which I think is because the kids were too young.
