This book is absolutely fantastic. The witch's children are out and about catching the bus to the palace and that means trouble. They have the great idea of changing Gemma, a little girl who has forgotten her bus fare, into a goose that lays golden eggs, but they don't know how to turn her back. En route, they magic the bus and passengers into a wondrous flying carpetful of sultan and courtiers which flies to the palace and causes havoc. The Queen and the Duke (a very familiar looking duo with their little dog) think enough is enough and so the children summon their mother to put things right.
