I bought this book a few years ago. I am the owner of many vegan cook books and I have to say that unfortunately it is the one I use the least. I gave it two stars because I do agree the dishes are very economical - otherwise I would have given only one. The problem seems to be that the recipes never seem to have properly rounded flavours, and although this is sometimes easily rectified - perhaps by adding garlic and herbs I always felt that the author's taste buds must be a little limited. Eva batt's recipes are also very frugal but seem to work better than this.
