Brilliant travelogue based on a trip around the vineyards of England and Wales in the summer of 2006. Very detailed with over 300 vineyards from the tiny to the large covered and it's clearly an independent guide as he pulls no punches when he finds something awry. Tasting notes are straightforward and not having been an English wine buff before, I learned a lot from these regarding grape types and styles of wine. The book lacks maps but is none the worse for it as there are plenty of contact details including map references. It is also beautifully presented and copiously illustrated in full colour. Highly recommended.
