Heaven's Gate Well, first off, the reason I've given this 1 star is because after it arrived through my door it has remained in its sealed cellophane wrapper. The reason; there seems to be at least 64 minutes missing, almost a whole film (by today's standards) of footage cruelly cut from what is one of the most spectacular (but least successful) westerns ever shot. I'm not going to review it as other people have but also because I'm probably not going to watch it as a mark of respect to original. Suffice it to say, that when I saw the original at the age of 15 on VHS I was blown away and assumed that in today's climate of 'Directors cuts' and 'Special Editions' that this would be the genuine article.
