I know that nothing will persuade die-hard Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop supporters to abandon their favorite software, but when you see what you get for £100 with Corel X3, when compared to about £1000 for the Adobe equivalent, the case is made, at least for me. I have to spend my own money when I buy software software.
Having used earlier versions some years ago, I found X3 easy to use and very stable in Win XP. Newbies should expect a steep learning curve, but that is only to be expected with software of this power and capability.
