You may need a 'micromate USB sdhc adapter', or equivalent generic adapter, if you want to transfer to and from a PC and the memory at high speed (I get around 4Mbps writing and around 10Mbps reading sustained speeds with a generic SDHC compatible USB adapter).
Many SD card readers, even the USB 2.0 ones I have that are less than a year old, do not support SDHC. The SD card adapter supplied is only a physical form factor adapter it has no electronic communications adaptation capability.
