Well i'm 17 years old and i have to say that Mackler is my favourite author ever, she covers topics that are important to me, and many other girls, so sensitively; it's like shes writing about me. This particular story follows V Valentine ( she's the bitchy neice out of Vegan Virgin Valentine) Although some parts are repeated from the other book, you dont need to read it first. She's on the road to self discovery, so she takes a roadtrip so see her scatty mother. On the way she discovers why she acts like she does to people, and why shes mucked things up between the only boy she's really felt for- will she get back in time to the guy she really loves? this book is a really good book.... well written, easy to relate to, i wished there was a second one cos i really wished i knew what happened between sammie and eli and i think the book ended on a total cliff hanger!i recommend this book to ne 1 between the ages on 13 - 18 im sure all teenage girls will love it!!!!!!!!

Im almost 16 and read this book on holiday and to be perfectly honest i thought after reading previous reviews on this book that it was going to be fantastic but if im perfectly honset i felt like it was a pointless story after reading it....the whole storyline about her brother was under developed we never did find out if he went away or stayed and what happened to that girl. ofcourse it has its positve points...the main character virginia had very strong opinions on everythig and if you insecure about how you look and are shy this is an enpowering read but i felt it dint live up to what everyone else had said about it.

This book was a typical American teen book but it was quirky and really funny in places. Could relate to the character, a good book for any teen girl that enjoys a good gossipy romances chick lit
