From Workshop to Warfare - The lives of Medieval Women
Adams, Bartley, Bourdillon, Loxton.

The book aims to show the important role women played in the Middle Ages a genre that the authors felt had been either dismissed or only cursorily looked at. The authors identified that the generally accepted view of women in the medieval period may have been touched on in certain history books, that of the peasant women in the home and the upper-class lady working on her tapestry, but an overall depiction of a women's daily life, from all areas of society, had been ignored.
