This book is part encyclopaedia, part cookbook and handles both tasks superbly. I try to eat as healthily as possible but am often stumped when walking round the vegetable section of the supermarket wondering what I'm meant to do with half the veggies on offer. Now I can trust this amazing book to not only give me a background as to the origin of the vegetable, but also provide preparing advice and suggest numerous cooking alternatives from the simple boil/grill/roast options to more exciting recipes.
A definite addition to the bookshelf of anyone that wants to be more creative in their vegetable cooking!
