This book is worth reading because it helps you see the world through your toddler's eyes and it has made me think more compassionately towards my son when his behaviour makes me want to run away! I now feel like I want to make more time for my son which is a positive feeling, especially with a new baby in the house taking up so much time. Dr Green is not at all patronising or overly directive as some parenting books are. He makes sensible suggestions based on all of his experiences and I have really felt that this guy knows what he's talking about. The book covers all aspects of parenting a toddler and I find myself nodding away to the scenarios and feelings he describes us parents having. He's got an entertaining way of writing which actually ... Read More:

This book has been and still is my Bible for keeping track of changes in my children. It is written with great sense of humour, gives practical advice without exaggeration, and I highly recommed it.

FINALLY, my Son was diagnosed at aged 5, i have read many books before the diagnosis- with a strong history in the family and the huge difference between him and my other children, I was advised to read this by the Paed. Reading this is like reading a book based on my son, for any parent, I have also recommended it to friends that children do not have problems to highlight struggles these children have. I have also recommended it to friends of friends whose favourite hobbies are to 'tut' and judge. A good read.

As most soon-to-be parents do, I went out and bought loads of the books that were supposed to be the book to have. Non of them have been as helpful as this one. A friend sent me a second hand copy from New Zealand saying that it was doing the rounds down there and everyone raved about it. I can very confidently fully recommed it as it has been my bible for the last 21 months. Now that my little boy is not so little any more, I've just gone out and bought Toddler Taming the next book and that looks just as good so far.

I am a fan of Dr. Green who obviously understands our concerns first hand. He gives some great advice as well as compassion and humor regarding the everyday parenting stuff that can drive us crazy. I don't have time to read a long paragraph book on each individual concern. So this type of quick reference format on a number of topics is really handy for those bad days when I'm just about at my wit's end. Another "little" A-Z book that I have found extremely helpful with this age group (2-5) is called "The Pocket Parent". I highly recommend it as well and it covers even more behavior topics than "Toddler Taming Tips". I think if you have little ones that often challenge your sanity, consider both books as a welcome addition to your home library. I guarantee that ... Read More:

Thank God for this book, It offers very practical advice on how to deal with a whole range of behaviors and situations that toddlers throw upon you, and put you back firmly in charge. I bought the book six days ago and my 15 month old son has gone to sleep in his own cot, in his own room, with no crying in under 10 mins (allowing me to finally get on-line!!) I have tried lots of other methods before but the "controlled crying" method outlined in the book really seems to have worked (and I never thought I'd say that). If you're in despair please buy it. It's realistic, funny and it's worth every penny!!!

These two short passages in the Bible, namely 2 Peter and Jude, complement each other beautifully. Their purpose is both to encourage and to exhort the reader to become a 'participator in the divine nature'. Participation has a very modern ring about it, with it overtones of team work and collaboration.
However some of the Greek and word-by-word analysis does become heavy going. There is the sense we are not seeing the wood for the trees, not seeing the big picture of salvation because of the many theological and etymological asides.
But the study does seem to get hold of the readers mind and spirit with its "logic on fire" and is extremely uplifting. The similarity of one passage in 2 Peter with Jude is intriguing. The 'make every effort ... Read More:
