'This delightful series of board books is aimed at very young children.
The bright pictures, with their patches of different textures, are designed to develop sensory and language awareness.
Babies and toddlers will love turning the pages and touching the feely patches.'
10 sturdy board pages in the popular 2-page spread, with a line of clear, easy-to-follow text on each.
This book is further enhanced by those `patches' and the repeat on the words:- 'That's not my penguin'.
Colourfully illustrated throughout, by Rachel Wells.
This was the first Usborne book I bought for my son, and it's still one of his favorites. He loves to roar along with each lion and find the tactile part of the pages. A beautiful book, wonderfully illustrated and excellent for the age group. A definite must-have!

My 1 year son loves all of the 'that's not my' books as he loves to touch the different textures and look at the pictures. We couldn't work out where he had learned the word 'that' for when he pointed to things, then I realised it was from these books. This one is a particular favourite of his. I think its because a car is such a familiar object to him.

My 10 month old daughter loves this book. It's got lots of different fabrics to feel and the snowflakes on each page are reflective too. Bright, bold pictures seem to amuse her. I would definitely recommend this book.

My son is a huge fan of these books - he got his first one for his 1st birthday and still loves it a year later. A great investment for a few pounds.
In these sorts of books, my son likes it when you can actually 'FEEL' the difference to the pages as opposed to see it - in this I mean that he's not a huge fan of 'shiny' or 'glittery' pages and will skip them in order to go to the 'Rough' or 'Fuzzy' pages where he can feel the difference. And in this respect this book is great as is has 'tufty', 'slimy', 'knobbly', 'prickly', 'fuzzy' and 'scaly'.
Other favs in this range are: dinosaur, penguin, train and puppy.

My almost 9 month old boy LOVES this range of books. He loves touching all the different textures on the pages and is learning to turn the pages himself now. My just turned 3 year old boy still enjoys them too, so these are a nice choice of book to read to them both together. They're very sturdy and quite toothproof too!

This book is great for young children. My 7 month old daughter loves it! Each page has a different fairy on it with things to touch and feel: fluffy wings, bumpy slippers, smooth crown, frizzy hair etc. Her favourite is the one with the pink fluffy wings - she loves touching them. The drawings are very colourful and sparkly which help attract her attention. It's a boardbook so the pages are very easy for tiny hands to turn over too.

Simple touchy feely book, with big thick board pages and a different texture on each double page and the cover. Each page has a different bear on it (2 pandas, a koala on the cover, a polar bear, honey bear and grizzly) as well as the little mouse to look for every time. The text reads, for example "That's not my bear!.... Its tongue is too scratchy!" until the last page, when you finally find your own bear!!
My 1 year old enthusiastically feels each texture and turns the pages, and wants to read this one over and over again. His first word? "Bear"........
When you get bored of this one (which will happen way way before your baby does), try one of the others in the series. We also have "That's not my dinosaur" and "That's not ... Read More:
