A really good introduction (and for most, all they'll ever need to cook Mexican) to the food and how to cook it. It tells of the story and influences of the Mexican kitchen, the various products (like chilis, cheeses, odd fruits etc), the regional differences and then it has 150 recipes ranging from salsas, soups, meat dishes, fish dishes, salads and vegetables, deserts and finally drinks. Lots of inspiration for many dinners. It'll be a while before you run out of ideas.
