I looked at this book because I heard a lot about it and wanted to see for myself what all the fuss was all about. My first clue that this book was a horse of a different color was when I found it in the "metaphysical" section of the bookstore.
I have to be honest though, I never made it through the whole book. It centers around this "spirit" called Abraham and all the advice and teaching it gave to the authors.
Definitely for the "New Age" crowd, if this kind of thing interests you, then for the type of book that it is, its a good one. The book has 22 sections, whose purpose is to help you achieve your goals in life by asking you some reflective types of questions- which I did find motivating. Although not my cup ... Read More:

I had previously read 'Ask and it is given' and 'the astonishing power of emotions, but 'money and the law of attraction' is simply the best. I resonated with the previous books and I felt like a recoving amnaesiac - almost like little triggers of past memories kept appearing in my conscious mind. I fully understood the concepts, but I didn't integrate them into my everyday life. However, with 'money and the law of attraction' it was like the 'lights suddenly came on' - not only did I feel like I knew the concepts, I had the overwhelming desire to intergrate the concepts into my everyday life. My emotional guidance system suddenly switched on and I am aware in every moment of the day what I am in the process of attracting to me. I do what the book ... Read More:

The story that Esther and Jerry Hicks have to tell is truly a remarkable one. Jerry was always interested in spirituality and all that was out there. But his wife wanted absolutely nothing to do with his explorations into the non-physical. Oh, how all of that was to change.
Without revealing too much of their journey, suffice it to say that she changed her tune - and by quite a bit. You see, Esther has become a channel for a disincarnate being called Abraham. His teachings, through her, have become the basis for a series of books by the Hickses.
In The Law of Attraction, Abraham explains this simple but profound universal principle. With its practical and deliberate application, we can learn to bring into our lives what we want and release ... Read More:

This sends out a message of hope for the long suffering. This a carefully crafted piece, and very moving at times with the profound message of effortless manifestation of one's desires. Esther has built her career around her teachings, and what is imparted from here proves she is up there with the best of them. Although a lifelong fan of Esther, I would not just write a good review for the sake of it. What lies ahead in the future, no one knows. This book, though, allows you to able to change direction in life and to have some control over your destiny by implementing change through generating positive feelings. Well done, Esther and Jerry.

I love this book! Authors Esther and Jerry Hicks capture precious knowledge that flows from the non-physical consciousness "Abraham". The wisdom in the pages of this book has made a great difference in my life as I create a new beginning each day, with conscious thoughts that inspire me. Abraham mentions that 'everything is "vibration" and that the "Law of Attraction" responds to those vibrations, and in essence, organizes them, bringing things of like vibrations together while holding those of un-like vibrations apart.' After reading this book, I now understand the Law of Attraction, and I can participate fully in how my life shows up. It's great to see that I am responsible for my life circumstances.
I know the nonphysical entity of Abraham is a little hard to get your head around, but if you persevere and grasp the concept behind it then you will not go far short of making headway to wealth. I do like the books by the Hicks' and always find something good within them, just dropped a point on this one as it took me a couple of times to grasp it, well done.

Yes, I agree with a couple of the other reviewers that this book is somewhat similar to the first book "Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires". There is, though, a distinct difference in that this book covers the journet to securing what you desire, as opposed to getting what you desire. I really do like the writings of the Hicks' and therefore lean towards their writing style and the lift it gives the reader. The exercises are the same as the first book, this is not in doubt and the writing a little padded out, but you cannot knock Esther Hicks for her style in putting it across.

Since the beginning of time stories have been powerful ways of passing on important imformation. Esther Hicks now harnesses this power in this wonderful series of books. The law of attraction carefully enshrined in the story of a little school girl's search for friendship and happines with a little supernatural thrown in. Nothing could be more delightful written while at the same time enhancing one's personal growth. Metaphors are powerful tools for passing information to the subconcious mind, and the rich and useful metaphors in this book take us a long way along the path.
