I bought this book a few months ago and it has really taught me about what to do with all those superfoods in my cupboards! I now know what i should be using and when and which superfoods work well together. I also really like the fact that Kate talks about other ingredients which are in some cases not strictly raw (seaweed), but add nutrients, texture and flavour to dishes...hmmmmm....nutritional yeast, yum!
Lovely pictures too, a marvelous book indeed.

I have had this book for a while now and have tried many of the recipes.
So far everything came out as 10/10. Especially the various curries. I do own a number of Raw Food books but "Eat Smart eat Raw' is the only British one. If like me, you cannot live without curries, that alone is a good enough reason to purchase this book. The American books do not do curries justice (Indian or Thai).
Other recipes are 'finger licking good'. Most of them excellent. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. It is a God-send.
A thousand thanks to kate Wood.

Quite a good book, lots of handy info, well written. Good for someone who is raising a young family and wants to try introducing more raw foods to children. The author is realistic about the problems of going over to a wholly raw diet in Britain, and does her best to experiment with foods that are commonly available in Britain. However, there are some ingredients that are just not available everywhere, so your options will be limited.

An excellent book for students and lecturers alike with clearly divided chapters that cover all aspects of the subject. Each chapter has a useful contacts section to help the serious student with further research. Although written with A/AS level and National Diploma students in mind, it still has a lot to offer HND and BA students. Well worth a look.
