I've been vegan for just over a year now and I had started to miss things like cheesecake/cakes etc. Then I found this book! It's very easy to follow and the ingredients are all easy to get hold of. Super!

I love this book. As the only vegan in my household, its brilliant for me to cook meals on my own. Its helped me to discover new foods to eat, different combinations of food, and I feel healthier for it.

I don't care that there are no pictures in the book, why does there need to be? You can imagine with your mind if you know what all the ingredients look like.

The book is divided into winter and summer recipes, which is definitely a winner, as you can then see exactly which are the warming foods and which are the cooling foods. Yum.

The realy great thing is if you have someone to stay who is also vegan, you can just double the recipes up, which is so much easier than trying to reduce sizes from a family ... Read More:

Books : The Single Vegan: Simple, convenient and appetizing meals for one

The Single Vegan: Simple, convenient and appetizing meals for one

by: Leah Leneman
1989

I found this book originally in my local library and having read it for five minutes decided I had to go out and buy a copy! It is simply the best vegan cookbook I have ever found. This is probably because I am the only vegan in the household and so the amounts given in the book are perfect - they really are the right amount. However my housemates, who are all meateaters, were also pleasantly surprised when I cooked them a recipe from the book! My advice is especially try the scrambled tofu and leek. Yummy!

I am always impressed by Leah Leneman's cookery books and this one is even more impressive.

Heard of Tofu? It's supposed to be bland and boring - but NOT if you buy this book! This book will help you spice up your cookery repertoire and you will impress your friends.!

I think it is worth buying just for the Tofu cheesecakes - absoultely amazing and a taste to die for!
