Tofu gets a bad press: let's face it, it is white, comes in a block and to a Western palate, has a bland flavour. Not to mention the endless jokes about all vegetarians eat is tofu, so they must also be white, blocky and bland!
But get this book and try some of the recipies and you might just convert a few nay-sayers! Some of them are quite impressive and to be honest, some you would even not know that Tofu was the main ingredient!

I agree with all the above reviews. My children particularly like the nutritional yeast recipes, tofu cheescake and sweet stuff, although we cut down on the amount of sugar or the recipes would be too sweet. It's brilliant for people learning how to make vegan basics like tofu and beans and tortillas, and especially good for people with babies and young children who may be concerned about nutrition when starting out with a meat and dairy free diet. The people on The Farm give helpful advice and reassurance, having raised their own kids as vegans. (The Farm has been a vegan self-sufficient community for around 30 years). We've had our copy for at least 15 years now and still consult it frequently... Buy it now, it's a vegan classic!

It's hard to like tofu, though it's a bargain protein food. This little cookbook has many truly quick and easy recipes to liven up the stuff and make it interesting and tasty. (I think delicious is too much to hope for under any circumstances.) Directions are easy and straightforward, good for someone who doesn't want to spend her life in the kitchen. Ingredients used in recipes are easy to find on supermarket shelves. Tofu-Raspberry pudding is going to become my favorite low-fat, low-carb dessert!
