This book is fine if you want to build dolls houses, or model for fun, but if you are a student or are looking for a thorough guide for building slick-looking models, then I would highly recommend you look elsewhere. 'Designing with Models' by Criss B. Mills would be better value for money. This book doesn't quite cut it, and unfortunately the models pictured here don't hold their own under the close speculation of the photographs. Perhaps this book is meant to be aimed at school chilren: if so then it fulfills their needs, but that isn't clear from reading the book- it purports to provide a 'primer and a professional insight'.
