Definitely one of the finest poems ever written - brilliant, witty and profound. Knocks that bleating sheep Wordsworth into a cocked hat!

I bought this book on end December 2007 for my father who is a very advanced Sudoku player. Unfortunately, there are not any advanced Sudoku books in the Greek market (where we live) so every time I have to buy for him books from Europe, where I travel alot. I have found very strong puzzle books in the UK and in Germany but the books containing techniques and strategies were always "basic" with rather obvious hints for the very advanced player.I didn't know the actual content of the book before buying it so I didn't have many expectations. My father was thrilled with it and after reading it he was able to implement the techniques in solving some diabolical puzzles that he couldn't before. He recommends it as the best Sudoku book he has read. 2 ... Read More:

Byron has been a perennially fascinating personality since he lived, hence the number of biographies on him in print, but I wonder how many people have actually read his poetry?

If you've never read Byron, then you might be surprised at the sheer narrative drive of these poems that keep you reading, even without the beautiful language. Always atmospheric (especially in the eastern tales) Byron for me has always been one of the poets with the strongest sense of musicality and rhythm in his writing. ... Read More:

Incredibly easy, dashing one-dish lunch or dinner-party fare. Have you noticed that guests just don't want to eat piles of stodge anymore? Peter Gordon's Salads are utterly delicious but can be deceptively presented as healthy and even as GI Diet-friendly. Thing is, you can tell he's a chef; basically the setup he imagines is a kind of mise, where you prepare each ingredient separately and then assemble. This can seem like a lot of faff after work, by the time you've toasted this and roasted and peeled that. Some of the recipes have one ingredient too many. But this is a fine book for entertaining; I've now made half a dozen of his salads for dinner or lunch parties and have been complimented every time.
