I'm afraid I don't think much of this book as a reference, and it is certainly not an introductory book. There are plenty of spelling mistakes (or typographical errors) and calculations appear to jump and skip stages to the point where I became quite confused and demoralised. The last thing I need when trying to learn a new subject is misleading or patchy information - this just seemed to make things harder. I found this book nigh on useless for learning and comparision by revising a section of material with which I am familiar showed me the kind of gaps in calculations and descriptions there are. I bought this book as it was the closest I could find to one by Dorf alone which had been recommended to me but really, I wish I hadn't....

This is the worst textbook I have ever used. Not only are many of the examples unmatched with their answers, the few answers provided in the back of the book are also usually incorrect. The book is written at too-high of a level for an introductory circuits course and does not use standard industry variables and descriptors. The problems at the end of the chapters do not accurately reflect what should be learned from the chapter and are sometimes even physically impossible scenarios. My professor was forced to use additional made-up problems in order to compensate for the books inability to teach.
