I was a bit disappointed as I only bought the second edition in 2005, but when I went out and updated it, there was in fact not that much change at all to the vast majority of the text! Sure, the new 2005 CPR guidelines are there (I guess this and the name change dropping `Accident' were the reasons to `rush out' a new edition so quickly), but most of the text is the same. And I'm still tired of straining to read it!

This book is nothing short of FABULOUS. It is my bible. For all those who fear that vegan food has to be bland and uninteresting i challenge you to feel the same having cooked any recipe from this book. The recipes are diverse and there is something for every occasion. What i love about this book is that the food is high on taste but also low in fat and all the bad stuff.

I bought this book with very low expectations, but what a brilliant book. Not only is is vegetarian, it is vegan and low fat. I have worked my way through some of the book creating tasty and satisfying main meals and still have loads of things to try. Everyone was a winner, even the recipes I thought might not be to my taste! On the strength of this book I have bought more of Robin Robertsons cookery books and have not been disappointed. One word of warning though, this is an American cookery book and has American cup measures which scare some people. No problem, go and buy a set of American cup measures and you're away. It's actually a lot easier than weighing everything!

This is a very helpful commentary for anyone wanting to read Medea in the original ancient greek. The reviews above seem to refer to another book. This commentary has the greek text but no translations so the remarks about a translation are misleading.

This is a brilliant low-carb cookbook - delicious recipes, full of variety and imagination, and also really nicely designed. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

While this is a good textbook, as the oxford handbooks tend to be, it really needs to be read alongside the OHCM and OHCS (which kind of defeats the purpose of a single handbook) and duplicates a lot of their content.
Some sections are interesting, but fundamentally this wasn't as useful as it could have been.

Robertson set the bar pretty high with his first collection, A PAINTED FIELD, but he has produced a second that consolidates and deepens that achievement. SLOW AIR feels complete in a way that few other poetry books do: from the first poem to the last you are aware of a shaping spirit at work, and a mind wholly in tune with its expression. Just read 'Wedding the Locksmith's Daughter' to see a real craftsman at work. This is profoundly moving poetry - original, highly charged and perfectly pitched. Thrilling.
