Absolutely brilliant book. Robert Spencer deserves a nobel prize for writing such a book. Brilliant book, until I read this book I really believed in all that propaganda about "how muslims are very peace loving and all that malarki." This book opened my eyes.

Peggy Spencer's book is the right book to buy if you are a beginner, wishing to practise at home and need something to refer back to. It is, however, a bit too basic and frothy for the more advanced and serious dancer.
It's worth mentioning as well that although Peggy's book comes off as quite old-fashioned it is nonetheless very well-written and easy to follow, and there are also a LOT of pictures - very helpful! >>More Details |

Hummingbird is a fantastic read. I love stories with odd characters and Abigail is certainly that. Jessie makes a wonderful hero, still a bit rough around the edges but tender when it counts. This story had me gripped from the start and I have read it again and again. A must for any Lavyrle Spencer fan.

Whilst reading found myself going "Where'd that come from? This is crap!" and then I'd carry on reading. And the reason is that the book has a really gripping plot, but some aspects have been written hurriedly to keep up the pace of the book. Some great ideas in this book as well if somewhat far fetched at points. Not a deep book by any stretch but it might make a nice change if you've just waded through a 1000 page epic and need something a bit different before the next one.
