Another great addition to the series. It covers new topics and is an excellent next volume to parts 1-3.
Any budding amateur bowyer needs to get them all. They really are exactly what you need and will take you thorugh all aspects of making the bow and why you are doing what you need to do.
The reason I stress that this is part 4, is that it is not a standalone. You need to read the other bits too, IMHO.
Everything you want to know about playing the harmonica. Steve Baker has produced an indispensible guide to the harmonica. I had been playing for a while using other tuition material and kind of hit a brick wall.A lot of other books and web sites were name checking this book so I invested my hard earned cash in it.Well worth it.
All the techniques you are trying to learn are explained in full and he tells you what is happening to the harp as you do it. It helps you get your head around what you are trying to do.
The CD that comes with the book is easy to follow and the training exercises have helped me no end. The different tunings chapter is a little over my head a the moment but I am looking forward to getting into ... Read More:

Times Pieces edited by Ian Whates (reviewed by Kelvin M. Knight)
This first anthology from NewCon Press contains eight stories of speculation and imagination (predominately a science fiction bent) from a variety of authors, some of whom need an introduction others who do not. Irrespective, an introduction is provided for each author, as well as the raison d'être of Time Pieces. The front cover is gorgeous and is drawn by cover artist Fangorn, who has his introduction at the end, as well as being allowed (quite rightly so) to join the authors' signatures at ... Read More:

Process is the same kind of thing as the other tomato books. There is some textual content in there if you're into that kind of thing, but it's ultimately more of a [loosely] inspirational outing than an educational exercise. I've tried to read it on a couple of occasions, but I guess that's not what you're supposed to do with books any more. Fine for what it is, but something like "Life Style" by Bruce Mau will prove more fulfilling for those who prefer to dip in and extract a nugget of wisdom over being bamboozled by crazy typography.
