Jamie's Ministry of Food is a book teaching you how to cook. I really enjoyed it and have started to cook by myself as well. It changed me a lot, especially for the one who rarely cook by herself. and it is easy to learn too, I never thought cooking could be that easy and enjoyable. Now I love cooking, and by watching all the dishes I finished, I'm so proud.

I have had several editions of the Guinness World Records over the years and they have generally had a huge amount of content. This edition is much more like children's enclopedia than a serious books of records. There is much less material than normal and what little there is seemed to have been plucked almost at random and is poorly organised.
It may still appeal to children because of the numerous pictues. A few of these are 3D as advertised on the cover, and 3D glasses are included in the book so they can be veiwed. Sport fans may appreciate the tables of sports records which is the only area where any of the formerly comprehensive coverage remains. What can I say?...brilliant!. I havent laughed so hard for years and really couldnt put this book down, in fact I finished it 12 hours after I began reading.In many ways I could relate to Pauls early years .I was , however, rather upset to find out that the book only goes up to his 18th year!. Come on Paul, we want more!!!!.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get this review written but Bridgette Bardot put me in a time capsule with a drawing of an orange cat holding an air rifle.
A great excuse, I know. It's not mine I'm afraid but just one from Vince's Book of Excuses for Being Late Volume III, one of many tiny treats housed within this incredible tome - as just one slurp from a whole selection of soups. Some of the other instructional passages in this book are Bob Fossil's A-Z of Animals (where the elephant is `Grey leg-face man'), The Phases of the Moon (`The full moon, the main moon, the chalky white ball-bag hanging in the sky like a screwed up letter from a paedophile'), Eleanor's Top Sexpressions (`Turn me over and record all over my old DVDs') or Howard Moon's ... Nigella does it again. She writes great recipes with such relish and personality to her writing.
I just love her mince pie recipes, the pastry is just superb!!! Also try the Rocky Road recipe, I have tried this from her Nigella Express book but the Xmas recipe for this is even richer!! This book is fantastic, alan carr is hillarious!!! Love him hes one of the best comedians out. His book had me laughing constantly, read it in a weekend because I just didnt want to put the book down it was so funny. There are no sob stories just pure comedy, loved it! Would recommend it to anyone.

Stick Man is a fantastic book which my 2 girls who are 7 and 4 and I love. It flows really well (something I didn't find with Tiddler) and the story is just great. This probably now equals Snail and the Whale as one of my favourite kids books ever.
