I might be biased as I am a Stephen King fanatic but these are his best short stories yet. If you enjoy his work you will love these. If you are new to Stephen King and not sure if you will like his stuff then I would recommend this set of short stories as an introduction. As King is getting older (he turned 60 this year) these stories have a running theme throughout of mortality and what kind of afterlife there could possibly be (In stories such as Willa, The New York Times at Special Bargain rates). He also has an uplifting story about September 11th - someone who survived who was meant to be in the twin towers and how he comes to terms with this. If you ever enjoyed any Sharpe story or film then you must buy this book, A. it is for charity

This is basically 2 Newspaper Christmas stories expanded and published for the fans. As a huge Cornwell & Sharpe fan I really wanted to read these, and was very glad I did. 2 very good stories full of Christmas spirit done in a way that only Sharpe can manage. OK, this is expensive for 2 short stories but a must have for all Sharpe fans, and the profits are for the Sharpe appreciation society and their charities, so was happy to pay for this.

Funny, lovable and heartwarming. Better because it comes from the heart as only children can present the story of 2000 years ago in a Nativity play. I could imagine the voices of the children and Gervais Phinn as I read the book.

I don't know all the metaphorical significance of this book, but I feel on the surface that the book is an intersting read, that you want to know what is going to happen to the family and especially the protagonist. You also feel for these people, which is, considering how short the story is, uncommon.
You have to read it to appreciate it, but it definately deserves a place as a classic. >>More Details |

There are 4 stories here but only the one story by jd robb was worth reading this book for. Eve Dallas is back but in a very short story although it was still a good read. The other stories feature a wizard who is lost, a ghost who gets his comeuppance and a love story set in the past. Some of you may like these other stories but they were not as enjoyable as the eve dallas/roarke combo.

There is a lot of good erotica in the short story genre at the moment and this is one of the best. Red hot stories that are believable and imaginative, the characters are beautiful and are doing things we all do, or would like to do. I also enjoyed the 2007 edition, thats well worth a look. And my own personal favourite, the classic '100 Percent Erotica' by Suzie Van Aartman, you'll need to change your underwear after reading that.
