One of the most logical and interesting books in the recent time! It has no scent of New Age channeling which is always so identical that it lost both its impact and meaning. And things are so logically explained that one may wonder how did it not occured to us earlier this way of rewriting history. I recommend this book to everyone who wants information and genuine thinking.

This book was undoubtedly a groundbreaker, as it introduced many people to the concept of crystal skulls. It is written in the style of a real life detective story, and initially approaches the subject from a scientific angle. It finishes with the authors turning to spirituality for the answers, relying heavily on the wisdom of various Native American Elders. The reader though has to wade through 500 pages before any firm conclusions are drawn. The book fails to answer the most basic questions of what the skulls represent and how they can help mankind. This leaves the reader with more questions than answers. It is also unfortunate that the authors interview only American researchers, when there is so much more that could have been said - there ... This subject can appear mysterious and 'dark' to the layperson. I found this book straightforward and clear in information concerning the rituals and their meanings. A really good book for the beginner!

After reading so many rubbish books which claimed to be about Heathenism, but turned out more like neo-paganism, this was a refreshing book to read. It starts off as an introduction about being a Heathan, then examines the Gods/Goddeses, Cosmology, Soul etc.. It is all very easy to read, and nothing fluffy at all in the pages.
I find this Book very interesting because this is not just a field research in anthropology, there are included events from the time when the books author was in Jamaica. There are interviews with rastas, poetry of rastas. This Book also gives an introduction into History of Jamaica.
I think this Book will bee very useful for thous who want to know more about rastafari. Also for thous who study religion,politics,culture...

Having had an intense interest in angels and spirit guides, and having done considerable work with them over the past 5 years, I eagerly picked up Webster's book. Sad to say, I couldn't even finish his section on the angel guardians - it was so poorly written and lacking in substance. The subject is not one which lends itself to a "Cliff Notes" treatment - the reader would be better served by picking up Silver Raven Wolf's "Angels - Companions in Magic," from which Webster quotes in his own book! Ms. Raven Wolf is a true angelologist and her working knowledge of angels is second to none. Webster's treatment of the subject of spirit guides fares no better. He begins this section with an abidged history of the spiritualist movement ... Read More:
