A nice and quick read for those of a racier nature. There are several short stories to wet your appetite or anything else! Thoroughly enjoy this book.

This volume of "quickies" was some of the best erotic reading I have done in a while. It was to the point, to put it mildly! Can't wait for vol. 3!! Another "quickie" erotic read I devoured and would recommend: Sex Scenes: Erotica Excerpts from the Novels of Kim Corum.

There is simply no other word to describe this wonderful monumental book.
At its heart are two stories, the affair between Vronsky and the eponymous heroine, and the courtship of the self doubting Levine and Kitty who initially also believes herself to be in love with Vronsky.
The true glory of the book really came to me when, while reading it I was asked "Is she a good heroine or a bad heroine", to which I had to reply "Neither, she is just a human being". That epitomises the book. There are no heroes or villains. It is just peopled by inconstant, flawed, capricious, warm, loving, infuriating, real characters.
On one level it is a peculiarly domestic book. There is no great epic historical sweep to it, but ... Read More:

There is a lot of good erotica in the short story genre at the moment and this is one of the best. Red hot stories that are believable and imaginative, the characters are beautiful and are doing things we all do, or would like to do. I also enjoyed the 2007 edition, thats well worth a look. And my own personal favourite, the classic '100 Percent Erotica' by Suzie Van Aartman, you'll need to change your underwear after reading that.

The latest in Eloisa James' "Desperate Duchesses" series focuses on Isidore, the Duchess of Cosway, and her husband Simeon. They have a rather unusual marriage in that, despite being wed for eleven years, they have never actually met. They were married by proxy when Isidore was 12 whilst Simeon was travelling in Africa and India and he has never returned. In James' previous book in this series we learned that Isidore accompanied a friend to a country house party in order to try to get some reaction from Simeon. It works - Simeon arrives at the house party and takes Isidore back to London.
Isidore didn't know what to expect in her husband and finds that he's a man who doesn't conform to society's idea of a gentleman in clothing and general ... Read More:

I couldn't help wondering if the previous two reviewers were talking about the book I had just read. In my opinion it is the most steamy collection of erotica I have ever come across and if it isn't raunchy enough for them, then I would certainly like to know what they have been reading. And as for complaining about not being aware that some of the steamiest sex involves lovers of a more mature age, (actually it is mentioned in the book description)is a comment that really intrigues me. Does the reviewer think that sex stops at thirty? Maybe after that it should be just toad-in-the-hole.
It is a celebration of sexual passion for all adults from twenty somethings, up to any age that the fire still burns. It also pleases me that some of the characters ... Read More:

Regardless of everything else in the book (which wasn't awful but wasn't great either) I can't give this book more than a one star review because the hero sexually assaults the heroine within the first couple of chapters of the book.
In my opinion there is no justification for sexual assault and therefore I could not enjoy this book.
