I bought this tape for my daughter who is (at time of writing) 2 yrs and 2 months old, and is already a Tweenies fan. When I listened to it myself, I was a little concerned that perhaps she might be a bit too young to appreciate it, but I needn't have worried. I've been playing it for her the last couple of evenings when she has come out of the bath and is getting dried off and into her pyjamas, and she loves it. Given her age, she can't follow all the stories and songs word for word, but that doesn't matter - they have all appeared on the TV shows, and she's familiar with all the character voices, so even though she's only 2 she joins in and laughs at the funny bits! Her favourite at the moment is "Old MacDonald's Farm" (especially ... Read More:

The Tweenies star in this nicely-sized book, a hit with my two-year-old daughter. It is brightly coloured, with many flaps of different sizes, and strongly constructed - all flaps still in tact after many readings! With its variety of pictures, not just of the Tweenies, it offers a lot of talking points, with a selection of different animals etc to point out and name. Highly recommended, and even interesting for adults!

This book is my daughter's favourite (she's almost 2) mainly because there are 4 miniature books which she can handle easily which are nicely illustrated and are written as a condensed version of all-time classics (chicken licken, billy goats gruff, hansel and gretel and cinderella). She never tires of these little books, which have been repaired so many times I've lost count.

I got this book out of the library and have bought a copy for myself. Punchy, easy reading, bullet pointed tips. I related easily to what was being described, could relate to the solutions offered and the tips on the best way to approach it. It is a common sense approach to raising 8 to 12 year olds and promoting good self esteem. It talks about differences in gender for various issues and differing ways to get the same result. The hope is by putting some effort in now, this stage will be fun and the next stage may be a little easier. I have found myself having different conversations with my daughter since reading the book and I believe it has helped improve on something that I thought was ok to begin with!
