I bought this for my 8 year old daughter on the basis of the reviews on Amazon. I was not disappointed! It really is easy to do (even if you're not that creative yourself!). Use the stencils to create catwalk sensations - I bought it a week ago and have already sent for the refill pack as we have run out of hangers to display our creations. Loads of fantastic paper, sequins, beads, ribbon and glue (but only 20 hangers). My daughter absolutely loves it and can do it herself without any help - will definitely be buying more for presents for friends etc. Without a doubt this is fantastic value for money and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys craft activities (adults and children). You will not be disappointed!

I wish I had this book when I was a boy it brings back so many memories of things I tried to do (and nearly aways failed). Catapult making,go-cart making,first aid and girls all things that I sadly lacked the necessary skills in, not for the lack of trying I hasten to add.This book would have tipped the odds in my favour, I think.From codes to coin tricks I would have ascended to the rank of supercool with the knowledge in this book.
So parents out there I implore you to buy this book for your children and give them a fair chance in this unfair world and if not for that reason you could always read it yourselves !!! >>More Details |

A great book for fun activities all year round. As soon as i saw it in the bookshop i loved it, and still do to this day, love it, love it, love it!If you like this but want something even better, try the great big glorius book for girls. By the way, i LOVE the illustrations!

This book is like a slightly dumbed down version of "The dangerous book for boys" I would say that it is aimed at a slightly younger market and is undoubtably good at what it does. Some of the stuff in it is just plain silly, great for the average 8 year old who after reading the page will turn to you and state very earnestly " I can climb a palm tree now". A fun book,not sure how practical the advice given in it is as most of it is never likely to get used.

I bought this cookbook for my 14 year old twin sons, who have always enjoyed cooking alongside me, but never attempted anything on their own before.
They both instantly loved this book, saw lots of things that they fancied cooking, but, unlike many other cookbooks, felt confident enough to give them a go. My sons are very dyslexic, but they found the layout easy to follow and the pictures useful. These are not groundbreaking recipes, or even the best renditions of well-known dishes, but they work fine, are well illustrated and introduce young cooks to a range of techniques in a very straightforward, jargon free way. There are some good ideas but a little complicated so not good for very young children. Adult involvement needed at all times. Also heavy emphasis on decorations and cards and paper but no gift ideas and little cooking. Great selection of Christmas stickers to use.
