Perfect for any child wanting to draw their own cartoon characters, this is full of easy to follow, step by step, guides for a range of different pokemons. Only criticism I would give (and stopped me giving it a 5 star) is that it is a very small book - more like a booklet! Not quite the huge bargain (considering the small price) that I thought I was getting and more like a fairly priced, small guide. Great stocking filler.
Perfect for 6+ pokemon fans

This book is fantastic. The pictures really are beautiful. I just keep touching it. Everytime I look at them I see new details. My children loved reading this book with me and even my 6 year old commented on the life like pictures. It really is a great book to read over and over again. As everyone knows the first line of the book and a couple of phrases it is nice to read the rest of this timeless poem.

For any fantasy/sci-fi fan, Eragon will contain a lot of familiar material. However, it is well written and has a fast-moving pace which makes up for its derivative nature. Although the story and characters are not new, it is an interesting (if not particularly thrilling) read.
On the down-side, the dialogue is very wooden and a lot of the description is long-winded and verbose. I suppose we can excuse Paolini, seeing as he was quite young when he wrote it.
Altogether, a good read (if you can stand the none-too-subtle echoes of Star Wars and LOTR).

A beautiful rhyming story of bygone days with charmingly detailed illustrations. Regardless of what some reviewers say my daughter loved it from as early as 10 months, and still asks for it. As for it being a "stereotypical fairy tale of a 50's family" as one reviewer describes it, yes it is! But what do you want your children to read? True life crime? I think it's a nice introduction to history that Grandparents in particular will love to share with their little loved ones. A delight!
