I bought this for my 6 year old son who loves colouring in. The reason I bought it was because i was fed up with him constantly asking "what can i draw?" Since having this book he hasnt asked me once and I am amazed at how detailed his pictures are now and how much thought and effort he puts in.

Set between the firefly TV series and the serenity movie this introduces dust devils, browncoat terrorists. If you have no idea what I am talking about watch firefly. Anyway because it is set between two established stories there is a limit to what the writers can do witht the characters. As a result the story isn't that strong, but the characters are excellenty written and it is a joy to read. roll on volume 3.

I have never been a mad Meg Cabot fan but I have read a few of the Princess Diaries and Mediator books and I totally loved her last book Jinx, so I was eager to read this one when I found out what it was about and it is definately my favourite book by her to date.
Its about a teenage girl called Emmerson who is a tomboy and spends her time playing computer ganes with her friend Christopher (who she is secretly crushing on!), her sister Frida is the exact opposite, her main mission is to be popular and she idolises teen supermodel and face of Stark Enterprises, Nikki Howard. What a story! I couldnt see the twist at the end coming so I doubt a small child would. A tale for adults and maybe children alike.

I was disappointed at the small size of the board book - even tiny fingers find it hard to poke through the holes munched by the caterpillar. The little toy is cute, I had thought that he would be able to 'eat his way through the holes in the pages', but as stated above the book is too small. Having said that , The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a classic enjoyed by my children 20 years ago and still popular today.

Having read this a long time ago (and thoroughly enjoyed it) I came back to read it again and found the similarities between "The Arc" and Jonestown disturbingly similar. I wonder if anyone else has noticed? One of my favourites along with Man vs. Beast and as with all the CHERUB books, a light, easy read but with more adult language and content.

This book was great, fast, pacy, a really topical read BUT I totally disagree with the 11+ rating most people give this. It is FULL of inappropriate language and some quite gory and violent stuff which in my opinion makes it more suitable for 13+. I'm afraid our primary school took these out of the library, which is a shame given the brilliant storyline. Why, oh why do authors put loads of swearing in books aimed at children?
