His is not an easy life. Archy, a humble but literate cockroach lives in the grubby, downtown office of writer Don Marquis. Every night, when Marquis puts on his hat and goes home to his wife and kids Archy climbs on to his typewriter and laboriously hops from key to key, typing out his thoughts on life and love and the great dramas of our time. As his legs are not quite long enough to go venture into capitals all Archy's work must be read in lower case. This handicap adds to Archy's pain and to his talent. No-one writes with more angst than Archy. Or as he would have it, archy. His muse is Mehitabel the Cat, a one-time sex kitten who has seen better days. Mehitabel's fur has lost its gloss, her ears have a slightly chewed look about them ... Read More:

I have enjoyed most of the Wentworth detective novels and am very pleased to see them begin to be reprinted. This in my opinion is one of the best.Miss Silver is called in to investigate the demise of the very unpleasant Lois Latter. The suspects are centred around the family.
Highly recommened except the annoying Miss Silver "cough" which is mentioned frequently in all the novels!

The Otterbury Incident was a favourite book of mine as a child. But that was 30 years ago when the games the heroes played, and their freedom to roam the streets, all made sense. Life has changed so much since then that the story now seems like a historical novel, but really the key elements - adventure, friendship, and a sense of community - are still relevant today. The story can grip and affect a new generation of readers - my children - just as it affected me all that time ago.

Okay he isn't infallible. I am not sure about his "once saved, alwayssaved" or Pre-Trib ideas. But this Commentary is common sense and he seemsa really nice guy. At the price it is well worth investing in. But why notbuy some David Pawson stuff too, or even Dake's for balance?

My baby girl has loved this book since she was 3 months old! It's hard to find books that infants like, but something about the colorful illustrations really appeals to her. The book is just the right size for small hands and the cardboard pages are easy to turn - my baby learned to turn pages (and chew on books) thanks largely to this book. Also, I love the story and am never bored by it, which is not true of many other books for really young kids. A nightime favorite for everyone in our house!

This book is a thorough answer if you have ever wondered what your dreams may mean. It is easy to read and provides a clear procedure of dream interpretation for the absolute beginner or those more experienced in this field. The most important factor is that from a christian perspective it provides biblical refernces to cross check or further study. For those whom have had dreams and remembered vivid details such as colours and numbers, who felt this have a signficant meaning but don't know where to start, I truly recommend this book and also the book "understanding the dreams you dream" by the same author. More importantly this book does not enforced a perceived understanding of dreams but rather guides you along a personal interpretation process.
