I have read this book twice! This book will tell you all you need to know about Venice. Its well written which makes it an easy read, so many books have been written on Venice, but one is clear and broken down into key sections.
I brought this for my 12 year daughter who is Wicked's biggest fan. She loved it, the best present I have brought!! I have seen the show and thought it was amazing so had a look myself...couldn't put it down!!!! Intriging, interesting and beautifully written.... an absolute must to any Wicked fan!!!
In fact I have just ordered another one for my daughter's best friends birthday!!
BUY IT>.................... ITS GREAT !!!!!

There are tons of books about various painting techniques out there, but it's surprising how few books about the basics of learning to draw there are. The ability to draw realistically is the bedrock from which an artist should build, and BB has produced a work here that could take you from a fumbling amateur to an accomplished artist (IF and only if you are willing to put a lot of time in).
What I like about BB is:
He is himself a very talented artist (witness his own excellent imitations of various artists to illustrate their different techniques) but is happy to spend time teaching the rest of us
He uses only his own drawings throughout the text
His books are actually enjoyable to read of themselves, even if you don't bother ... Read More:

I'm 12 years old and I bought this book along with The Girls' Doodle Book and Beautiful Doodles and I have to say I cannot put it down! There are hundreds of doodles to complete and create, some examples are: Make the house scary, Who has eaten the leaves?, Who is he following?, What a view!, fill the flower shop and disguise me. This is a great book for boys and girls of all ages and I'm even sure full grown adults would love it!! This is a must have book and I definitely give it 5 stars. x

A great sourcebook for illustrators, fashion designers and students. It features a vast range of styles and subjects with some hidden gem illustrators that won't be featured in any other books

I bought the Spiral Draw Book for my 9-year old son last year. He has used it and used it. No complaints when asked to make a card, design a poster, write a letter. Everything has been decorated with different spiral patterns, or spiral patterns turned into animals, monsters, etc. It takes a bit of getting used to plus a bit of concentration, but now my 7-year old is starting to have a go.

I bought this book just over a week ago and set about making one of the projects straight away. The book is lovely to look at (I spent hours just pondering the possibilities!) and is very clear and detailed. I made one of the necklaces tonight (couldn't wait for all the supplies to arrive!!) and although I couldn't get the exact beads in the make up of this necklace, my necklace looks just as good and I couldn't be more pleased.
Definitely a good first buy if you want to start out in making beaded jewellery. I've now got the bug and the possibilities, using this book alone, are endless!

I must confess I bought it only attracted by the price (at that time, almost half price) with no positive expections. When I received it, I letterally divoured it!
Great quilts, using jelly rools, but it also provides table conversions to other cuts of fabrics and quilt measurements,
It's spuring me to sew my first double-size bed quilt!

I bought the 2001 version when I was a student and purchased this one because I wanted to get back into writing again. It has definately improved with age and still contains every contact an aspiring writing could ever need. There's a very in-depth article in this addition on the UK tax implications for the writer which I found interesting (perhaps, that says more about the reviewer than the book!).
Would highly recommend and best to read with a notepad, pen and highlighter handy.
