Roald Dahl reads his own story well, but I remember a different version from when I was a child, with sound and some music if I remember correctly. Sadly I don't think this is it. Good nonetheless, and the story, of course, is, erm... fantastic!

I queued up for this book on the 15th of July 2005, and it was worth it. This book is definitely one of my favourite Harry Potters, along with COS, GOF and DH.
There was so much going on, unlike OOTP, and I loved all the memories and Dumbledore and Harry looking for the Horcruxes.
It was interesting to see how Malfoy's character developed from book one onwards, and I think that in this book in particular you see what he will become. I thought him being a death eater was a great idea, and I enjoyed reading about how he dealt with all the problems.
Also, I found Harry and Ginny's relationship a delight to read about; Ron's reaction was quite pleasing- as I was reading it I thought he would not allow Harry to go out ... Read More:

I read this book for two children I was babysitting on Saturday night. I think I enjoyed it more than them! What a fab idea, perfectly written and illustrated. I'm going to be buying this for all the children I know this Christmas.

When I went through the book I could remember the movie played with Renee...Miss Potter. How magicals are drawings and how creative is the story, so easy to get into it! I really recommend this book for kids but also grown-ups. Nice present for Christmas eve I guess.
Regarding the way how tales are presented, this is quite genius as well as everything is merged into just only one book, a good quality about the cover. Nice choice.

Everyone knows the original stories of Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, Little Red Riding Hood and The Wolf and The Three Little Pigs, written by Charles Perrault (Cinderella), Brothers Grimm (all the rest); but Roald Dahl has changed the stories and put in some gruesome humour - these rewrites are not suitable for grumpy old grown ups so be aware! My favourite story out of all of Dahl's altered fairy tales is definitely Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf & the three little pigs because they are linked together with Little Red Riding Hood who gives the wolf and the pigs' horrible endings! I would rate this book 9/ 10 because it could have had another one or two other famous tales included ... Read More:

Having read the whole Harry Potter series twice I still don't think I am either a fanatic or expert. What I can say is that Deathly Hallows is the best book I have ever read and it concludes what is a compelling series of books.
I finished Deathly Hallows for the second time last night and could happily pick it up and start reading it again.

This is the fist set of books that I bought from the Narnia Chronicles, and what a perfect way to do it, all 7 in one! C.S.Lewis is a fantasic author and I will never tire of reading these books over and over again. Although I have done that already and I plan to keep on doing it.

This is a wonderful book, to read out loud as well as to listen to. My daughter loves it and I really enjoy reading it to her. The illustrations are gorgeous and she enjoys pointing at the things she recognises along the way. She's now starting to join in with some of the sounds and I know this will be a popular bedtime story for years to come.

This book focuses on "sport" - first the Quidditch World Cup and then the Triwizard Tournament - so much I actually miss some of the Hogwarts everyday life. But as always it's an unpredictable plot introducing Mad-Eye Moody among other soon to be important characters and bringing Voldemort back in full force, which bodes "well" for the last three books
I've read all seven books in Danish at least twice each. Now I'm going through the lot in English - in the right order that is - and have just finished this one. Okay, I have to admit that I couldn't wait for the Deathly Hallows to be published in Danish, and it was the first of them I read in English first. Even though this one is worthy of five stars, it's not the best one in my opinion. Harry Potter and my Subjective Ranking: ... Read More:
