I thought this book was very honest and says it all about what really happens in the Entertainment business, its all about connections. It also shows that if you have ambition no matter what age you are you can still achieve your goals. Fabulous

For all the shenanigans that went on over the past 15 years or so at the FA this is brilliant. David Davies seems like a pretty decent bloke, Sven and Terry too, despite the dodginess. Its the others that need lining up against the wall. This is at times frustrating, at times hilarious, at times it makes you angry... bit like what it must have been like working there. But you really get a sense of what went on, and why we haven't won anything for so long. Not like your typical dull football autobiog. I really enjoyed it!

I bought this book whilst I was traveling in Asia and found mysef unable to put in down. The book goes right from his boarding school days right through to him setting up the world elders. Although the book leaves out no detail I thought that there would be more on his actual thoughs and feelings. However I would recomed this book to anyone it's full of adventure both in bussiness and Bransons record attemts. U cant read this book without loving his attitude and making u feel like there's something we all can do to change the world. A truly well written and unlifting book.

I think Theo Paphitis is the most entertaining of the Dragons. The subtitle is How I transformed my life and how you can too.
I am a consumer of business memoirs and I am always interested in how people with no obvious advantages can make millions. He tells us how.His family came over from Cyprus with nothing and after various false starts ended up in London. He described his mother as someone with whom you did not argue , she took no prisoners and you had no option for her to come back home from work and find the house in a mess.
He does a variety of jobs whilst at school but leaves with no qualifications and wants to be something in the city but because of his dyslexia he said even filling in an application form was a major ... Read More:

I'm not even interested particularly in hedgehogs, but this book took me on a journey that was informative, poignant, humorous,,, Hugh Warwick's passion and mission shine through every page. For these reasons A Prickly Affair opened up my mind to something I might never have let in.... I think this book is going to become a classic. And now I'm just waiting for a hedgehog to wander into my life....

Rupert Short is Religious Editor of 'The Times Literary Supplement' and was formerly a staff journalist on 'The Church Times' and Assistant Editor of the liberal (Roman) Catholic magazine 'The Tablet'. He has previously authored a short "sketch" of the same subject entitled 'Rowan Williams: An Introduction' (2002), and 'Gods Advocates:Christian Thinkers In Conversation'(2005) which features a significant contribution by Rowan Williams and is probably more for those wishing to gain an insight into the Archbishops theological perpectives rather than this present volume.
'Rowans Rule' is a serious, heavy-weight study (466 pages) of the life of Rowan Williams current Archbishop of Canterbury written by someone who is (unsurprisingly given the journalistic ... Read More:

I watched the movie before I read the book, and while the movie brought tears to my eyes, the book broke my heart (SOBBING). I NEVER read a book after I have watched its movie but Jon Karkuer did an amazing job. Even though I knew how it would end I still found myself wanting, hoping, praying Christopher McCandless would make it out alive. I am a first time reader of Jon Karkuers' work and I am really impressed.

"The tiaras and silvering hair of Britain's sexiest sixty something - it's all here, in In the Frame: My Life in Words and Pictures, a glossy hardback scrapbook of photographs extensively annotated by Helen Mirren. Born Ilyena Vasilievna Mironov in Chiswick, London, in 1945." Eva Wiseman
Helen Mirren, my image of the perfect woman and actress, warts and all, beautiful to look at as she ages and beautiful in mind and soul as I got to know her a little better. I think she will love the title I chose for this review, like me, she's a little bit raunchy and rock 'n roll. Helen was asked why she wrote this book. It seems that she has been asked many times to write her story, but could not think it through. A good friend suggested she write it like ... Read More:
